"Pokemon Go" will finally come to life as Niantic finally revealed its upcoming release date. The augmented reality free-to-play mobile game is set to release this coming July as announced by Nintendo on its E3 live stream.
Although the definite release date in July of "Pokemon Go" has not been revealed but fans can rest assured that the game will be available for both iOS and Android. Shigeru Miyamoto has also been giving out details regarding the release date of Pokemon Go Plus" and other optional hardware accessories for the game.
"Pokemon Go" Release Date
Shigeru Miyamoto surprised everyone during a livestreamed Q&A panel between Niantic's developers, Nintendo and The Pokemon Company. Miyamoto explained the release date of Pokemon Go Plus, which is the optional hardware accessory for "Pokemon Go" in case your phone is not available.
According to the developer, Pokemon Go Plus will be available in the last week of July for $34.99. This announcement also coincides with the preparation of Nintendo as the company has already started to close the beta program of "Pokemon Go."
With the announcement of Miyamoto, President and CEO of The Pokemon Company Tsunekazu Ishihara responded by saying that Miyamoto may have announced the release date of the Pokemon Go Plus device which obviously should lead to the early release of "Pokemon Go."
"Pokemon Go" Update on E3
During "Pokemon Go" E3 livestream, Nintendo made further clarifications towards the ability of players to catch and train stronger Pokemon. The game will also be giving "candy" rewards, according to The Verge.
Although Nintendo has not announced whether "Pokemon Go" will host local events in different cities for players to be able to capture hard to find pokemon such as Zapdos and Mewtwo, the company announced that trading between players will be possible. Players who want to trade their pokemon will be able to enjoy this feature sometime after the launch.
