With the latest updates on the critically-acclaimed horror-suspense TV series, "American Horror Story", being spread online, fans have already been scanning for bit and pieces of the new Season 6. However, people are set to have their hands glued to their seats as new cast and possible storylines were recently revealed at an event a few months back.
"American Horror Story" Season 5: 'Hotel' had a dark theme, yet Murphy says season 6 would be even grittier and at its darkest, Cinemablend reported. The show's actors are yet to also confirm their upcoming involvements in its latest installment this year.
So far, tiny details of the new season have been dished out by Murphy at Paleyfest last March. However, a new title has been kept mum by the show's executive producer even from the "American Horror Story" actors.
Lady Gaga's win at the Golden Globes definitely earned her a place with Murphy's horror-drama show, as she was already given the golden ticket for a comeback. Whether or not she would still be playing The Countess (like in Season 5), the "American Horror Story" creator is still to announce within the next few weeks or so. Other mainstays like Denis O'Hare, Evan Peters (who returned as Quicksilver/Magneto's son in X-Men:Apocalypse), and Sarah Paulson are also expected for a series of much-awaited returns in "American Horror Story" Season 6.
Meanwhile, a fan-raised theme for the "American Horror Story" new season called Apocalypse may not happen at all. The show's fans had expressed impressions on what would be the upcoming storyline on Twitter, iDigitalTimes reported.
Rumors on the Apocalypse theme came to a close after Murphy disclosed at Paleyfest that the show is considering two scenarios for "American Horror Story" Season 6. This new storyline is still in talks regarding confirmation, while he has announced that the other theme would be about children.
O'Hare, who played drag complete with the Cleopatra-themed persona in AHS Season 5:Hotel, has praises for creater Ryan Murphy, Yahoo reported. Playing Liz Taylor in the "American Horror Story" (with a bald head), O'Hare said that the character became special for him.
O'Hare also added he got especially nervous when Murphy described how his Liz Taylor character looked like in the early "American Horror Story" seasons. However, he took to Murphy's advice: "If something scares you, you have to do it."
