Michael Jackson TV To Be Produced By JJ Abrams? King Of Pop Mini-Series Will Be A Revelation By Tavis Smiley?

King Of Pop Michael Jackson will come back to life - on tv, that is - through a production by "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" director JJ Abrams and talk show host Tavis Smiley. In the Michael Jackson mini-series, said to be inspired by the success of "The People V OJ Simpson: American Crime Story," JJ Abrams and Tavis Smiley will dwell on the last months of the King Of Pop.

According to Deadline Hollywood, JJ Abrams and Tavis Smiley will adapt the latter's book on Michael Jackson called "Before You Judge Me: The Triumph And Tragedy Of Michael Jackson's Last Days." The Michael Jackson book is recently published by Little, Brown and Company.

In the "Before You Judge Me: The Triumph And Tragedy Of Michael Jackson's Last Days," Tavis Smiley highlighted the pressures placed on the King Of Pop by fame. As he struggled for privacy, Tavis Smiley described the growing fragility that characterized the months that led to the end for Michael Jackson.

/FILM suggests that success that FX met with "The People V OJ Simpson: American Crime Story," may have played a part in bringing the Michael Jackson mini-series together. The media outlet also points out that finding a Michael Jackson actor may be one of the biggest challenges for JJ Abrams and Tavis Smiley.

USA Today reports that Tavis Smiley wrote "Before You Judge Me: The Triumph And Tragedy Of Michael Jackson's Last Days" as a speculation of what the King Of Pop went through before his death. Tavis Smiley had been a fan of Michael Jackson since his childhood, but never personally knew of the struggles by the King Of Pop in the last months.

Tavis Smiley was inspired to write the book after being hit hard by the death of the King Of Pop in 2009. Tavis Smiley had been all set to watch Michael Jackson in "This Is It" at the London O2 Arena, with seats especially arranged by MJ's mom Katherine, when news broke out about the death.

As a grieving fan, Tavis Smiley wanted to understand how Michael Jackson must have felt and what the King Of Pop went through before he died. "Sometimes we lose sight of people's humanity," Tavis Smiley said.

With "Before You Judge Me: The Triumph And Tragedy Of Michael Jackson's Last Days," Tavis Smiley hopes to remind the public that the King Of Pop was as much a person as he was an artist. Tavis Smiley's wish is for the public to see Michael Jackson with a different perspective.

The Michael Jackson tv series is yet to be given a cast and a script. //FILM proposes that JJ Abrams and Tavis Smiley could announce the Michael Jackson tv series for 2017-2018 at the earliest.
