Negan was about to give a fatal blow. Fans of The Walking Dead, shocked at the final episode, are completely clueless as to who the poor victim will be. Is it the reliable Michonne? Or the robust Abraham? We hope it's not Rick. But whoever the helpless victim is, Negan's sadistic act will totally change everything.
The Walking Dead producer, Greg Nicotero, said that things will never be the same again. And fans should expect a quite different show on the next season of The Walking Dead according to a news article on Hollywood Reporter.
Following the shooting of three new episodes, the producer further said that as soon as the victim's identity will be revealed, the series will forever change. "The next season is a very different Walking Dead from the one we are accustomed to," Nicotero explained. "I think that people will enjoy that the show continues to change direction and doesn't just deliver the same thing over and over again," he added. Not quite disappointing right? It is only logical place where The Walking Dead series must go as cited on Cinema Blend. A chapter will be closed, and at the same time a whole new chapter will open.
Moreover, fans should not expect that Negan's brutal assault will necessarily be based exactly on the original comics. "I don't think we would be doing the material justice if we just regurgitated it word for word," Nicotero explained.
Regardless of the iconic moments and other things that are being paid tribute to, fans will still love The Walking Dead TV series even though it may have gone off course from the story line of the graphic novel. But one thing is certain; they will be undoubtedly hooked by the changes of the show.
