"Sherlock" Season 4 spoilers reveal that Sherlock (Benedict Cumberbatch) may find himself a new love interest in the upcoming season of the BBC drama. According to International Business Times, fans are speculating on this plot given that John Watson (Martin Freeman) has already found himself a partner, Mary (Amanda Abbington).

While it is possible that Sherlock will find new romance in "Sherlock" Season 4, there is also the possibility that his former love interest, Irene Adler (Lara Pulver) will return to the series. Sherlock will need to find time for romance since he will have to deal with a lot of things, including a new villain, in the upcoming season.

Den of Geek reports on the role of Toby Jones in "Sherlock" Series 4. According to the publication, Jones will be playing the role of Culverton Smith, whose character is based on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's "The Adventure of the Dying Detective."

Culverton Smith reportedly holds a grudge against Sherlock after the latter accused him of killing his nephew. In "Sherlock" Season 4, Smith will get his revenge plan working by sending an infected pin to Sherlock's home at 221b Baker Street.

Fortunately, Sherlock will be able to find out about the threat and will pretend to be infected to trap the tropical disease expert. "Sherlock" Season 4 is also rumored to feature the return of Moriarty (Andrew Scott) following his appearance in the Christmas special, "The Abominable Bride."

"Sherlock" Season 4 premieres in January 2017 on BBC.
