Countless fans were shattered when it was first announced that "Nashville" Season 5 is not happening anymore after ABC cancelled the country music drama. However, it has been confirmed that CMT has already picked up the popular TV series, making "Nashville" Season 5 now possible.
Aubrey Peeples, Will Chase not returning in 'Nashville' Season 5
Members of the "Nashville" cult went berserk when it was reported that Aubrey Peeples and Will Chase will no longer be returning for the upcoming Season 5. TV Line has confirmed that Jonathan Jackson, Hayden Panettiere and Connie Britton are among the cast who will reprise their role in "Nashville" Season 5.
Other stars who are expected return in "Nashville" Season 5 include Clare Bowen, Charles Esten and Chris Carmack. However, Yibada reported both Aubrey Peeples and Will Chase are not appearing on the "Nashville" Season 5 anymore.
To recall, Aubrey Peeples became a regular in "Nashville" Season 4 as the girlfriend of Jeff Forham, portrayed by Oliver Hudson. But, the budding on-screen romance of the two was cut after Oliver Hudson quit the show to join "Scream Queens."
Will Chase, on the other hand, was the love interest of Connie Britton in "Nashville" Season 2. However, things changed between the stars when Connie Britton's character, Rayna James, decided to get back with Charles Esten's Deacon Claybourne in "Nashville" Season 3.
'Nashville' Season 5 set to be aired on CMT channel
Meanwhile, GamenGuide reported that CMT has bought the rights to air "Nashville" Season 5. According to the entertainments news outlet, CMT had already signed a deal with ABC for the upcoming "Nashville" Season 5.
