'The Elder Scrolls 6' Release Date, News & Update: 'Skyrim' Sequel Argonia Game Pushed By Bethesda To 2017 Production?

"Skyrim" sequel "The Elder Scrolls 6," which is expected to be called "Argonia" has officially been pushed back in production by Bethesda. Bethesda PR and Marketing Vice President Pete Hines supported E3 2016 statement by Todd Howard that "The Elder Scrolls 6" will be queued with two major projects by the "Skyrim" developers.

Gaming Bolt reports that Bethesda was asked on Twitter for a projection of "The Elder Scrolls 6" completion. Hines repeated promise by Bethesda Game Studios executive producer Todd Howard that "The Elder Scrolls 6" will take some years before launch.

Hines further revealed that Bethesda is now focused on one of the major games announced at E3 2016 and "The Elder Scrolls 6" Argonia has been put on hold. The question now is whether Bethesda will resume work on "The Elder Scrolls 6" Argonia after the announced major projects.

One other dependency for "The Elder Scrolls 6" Argonia is technology as gathered from Todd Howard's E3 2016 statement. Briefly touching on technology for the "Skyrim" sequel still "non-existent" for the time being, speculations now tap on the possibility that "The Elder Scrolls 6" will be developed for Sony's PS5 and Microsoft's XBox Two.

IGN cites Todd Howard on the status of "The Elder Scrolls 6" production. "I could sit here and explain the game to you, and you would say, 'That sounds like you don't even have the technology. How long is that going to take?' the Bethesda boss said.

Despite the push back, this description by Todd Howard only heightened expectations for "The Elder Scrolls 6." From the mill, the loudest buzz expects "The Elder Scrolls 6" to relocate the franchise to an unexplored area in Tamriel,

The Black Marsh inhabited by the reptilian Argonians came into focus when a Bethesda patent for Argonia, as reported by NSEA, was linked to "The Elder Scrolls 6." That being said Valenwood and Elsweyr could just as easily comprise the map for "The Elder Scrolls 6."

Recalculating "The Elder Scrolls 6" release date projection, including PS5 and Xbox Two technology consideration, the "Skyrim" sequel debut could be 2020. For now, Bethesda offers "Skyrim" Remastered for those waiting for "The Elder Scrolls 6."
