Apple Watch 2 Release Updates: Improved Battery, Micro LED Display Teased

Tech junkies are sent into a frenzy after Apple Watch 2 release date rumors surfaced online. The Cupertino-based tech giant has yet to release any official features of its new wearable device as of writing, but several industry experts and insiders already have their speculations.

Latest Apple Watch 2 release date rumors are claiming that the new smartwatch will feature a Micro LED display. This new feature will reportedly do away with its predecessor's OLED panel. The Micro LED display will not only give a more vibrant and richer display, but it will also improve battery life, BGR noted.

Apart from the boost in battery life, the new LED improvement will reportedly make the Apple Watch 2 more lightweight and thinner.

Meanwhile, well-known and trusted Apple insider, Ming-Chi Kuo recently claimed that the new Apple Watch 2 will feature "spec improvements with limited changes to form factor design," Australia Network News reported. Kuo's prediction somehow makes sense as previous talks have claimed that the new smart watch will have a similar design to the first model.

Previous Apple Watch 2 release date rumors suggested that the new wearable device might get a September launch alongside the new iPhone 7. It was previously mentioned that the Apple Watch 2 release date could be in March, but that didn't happen leaving fans hoping to get a glimpse of the new offering at the Apple WWDC 2016.

Apple has yet to release a confirmation about the Apple Watch 2 release date.
