Healthy and Wellness: Researchers Came Up With A Way To Eliminate Fat From Chocolates

Researchers came up with a remarkable gesture that would impress chocoholics worldwide. It was recently announced that chocoholics will soon enjoy a guilt free bar of their favorite chocolate as fat is removed.

According to NPR, researchers came up with a way to eliminate fat from chocolates. The team led by Rongjia Tao of Temple University were able to successfully eliminate around 20 percent of fat stored in a liquid chocolate. Though fat extraction may affect the taste, it was mentioned that the chocolates still taste good despite being fat free.

The less fatty chocolate was formulated after Mars Inc. approached Tao and his team. The giant chocolate factory asked Tao to help them improve the viscosity of their milk chocolates. As they worked their way in coming up with the formulation, it was discovered that they can make chocolates smoothly flow, without adding extra cocoa butter.

It took Tao and his team a while to come up with a smooth flowing chocolate consistency that would still taste good, minus the fat filled ingredients. The team them worked on coming up with a chocolate that can easily flow through the pipes even if 10 to 20 percent of cocoa butter would be eliminated from the ingredient.

As Tao and his team focused on coming up with smart fluids that can practically make the cocoa smoothly flow smoothly without jamming the chocolate factory's pipes. They used an electrified sieve into the liquid chocolate to make it smoother. This processed made the researchers successfully eliminate the cocoa butter by 10 to 20 percent, making it low fat.

Telegraph then added that dark chocolates are said to be loaded with numerous health benefits. It was mentioned that it is fully loaded with anti-oxidants that aid in a clearer skin and even weight loss. It was however highlighted that the healthy option is strictly limited to dark chocolates.
