It seems as though Drew Barrymore has done it all over the course of her illustrious career. She has been the star of multiple TV shows and movies and has been the face of multiple product endorsement deals. Now, the "Charlie's Angels" star is set to host her very own syndicated talk show in 2017, produced by Warner Bros. unit Telepictures Productions.
The negotiations for the talk show are still at an early stage, says reports from The Wrap, and there is still a chance that these talks could eventually fall through and lead to nothing. Reports also state that it is likely that the show will be converted into a sort of reality show format instead of a more traditional one involving a panel or interviews, reports TV Line.
A representative for Warner Bros. has declined to comment after being asked for a response by The Wrap. The 41-year old Barrymore is busy at the moment having signed on to Netflix comedy series "Santa Clarita Diet." It could also be possible that Drew Barrymore has a slew of other projects lined up in front of her rumored talk show.
She has also been busy working with her production company Flower Films. Drew Barrymore and her business partner Nancy Juvonen, talk show host Jimmy Fallon's wife, run Flower Films. They have been behind such movies as "Never Been Kissed," "50 First Dates," and the previously mentioned "Charlie's Angels." Maybe Barrymore's connection with Fallon can help the show get green lit, or at least she can get a few tips and tricks from the seasoned late night talk show host.
It is also worth noting that Telepictures is also behind another big talk show in "Ellen." However, fans of Barrymore will have to wait a bit longer for further developments to this story, as a Flower Films representative has also not responded to requests for comment by The Wrap.
