ABC promises "Once Upon A Time" Season 6 to be very different given infusion in the Storybrooke series of tales from the "Land Of The Untold Stories." With the advent of new heroes and villains from the "Land Of The Untold Stories," is "Once Upon A Time" Season 6 premise to key character changes?
TVLine reports that, thanks to Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle), Mr Hyde (Sam Witwer) will be joined by newcomers Sinbad and Scheherazade of the "Land Of The Untold Stories" in "Once Upon A Time" Season 6. They will be accompanied by a young Morpheus in staking claim to Storybrooke come "Once Upon A Time" Season 6.
Entertainment Weekly cites "Once Upon A Time" executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis in revealing that Season 6 will see take a lot of characters and stories from the "Land Of The Untold Stories." However, they assure that the main cast will be front and center in "Once Upon A Time" Season 6.
"That's actually providing the opportunity to look at our characters in a different way," Horowitz said. "What's really exciting about it is, for season 6, really being in Storybrooke again. As we hinted in the finale last year, in seeing the Evil Queen [Lana Parrilla] split, it's allowing us to do that for a lot of our characters - not as literally - but it's turning inward on a lot of these characters that we've been with for five seasons so far."
Cinema Blend reports that the episode release for Season 6 will also be different for the ABC series. "Once Upon A Time" Season 6 will have no midseason break and will deliver 22 episodes as whole.
Given this change in format, "Once Upon A Time" Season 6 will likely explore mutli-arcs on the new characters alongside series regulars Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison), Regina Mills (Lana Parrilla), and Mr Gold aka Rumplestiltskin. Cinema Blend, however, points out that "Once Upon A Time" Season 6 will have to have a strong underpinning arc for the series to survive onto S7.
According to TVLine, "Once Upon A Time" Season 6 will pick up with the first "Hello" between Mr Hyde and Regina Mills. The "Once Upon A Time" Season 6 premiere date is set for September 25 on ABC.
