Garrett Lowry is a 10-year-old boy who loves sports a lot. But the baseball player still has plenty of room in his heart for doing something else that makes him an even bigger winner in life. When he's not playing, he spends his time knitting hats. The hobby might seem unusual for a slugger, but he is doing this for a great cause.
The hats he knits goes to babies and children at the Children's Hospital In Colorado. The idea was initially for a school project, but Garrett went the extra mile in doing a good deed. From the initial 15 hats, he was able to knit 50 to give to the sick children. His grandmother taught him to knit, which he finds soothing and calming, per Huffington Post.
