Holly Madison had a smooth and trouble-free time during the early stages of her pregnancy. However, "The Girls Next Door" star, who is now nearly seven-months pregnant, was admitted to the hospital after experiencing severe morning sickness.
"Almost 7 months and morning sickness took hold! Glad to be otherwise ok, tho," Madison wrote Monday on Twitter after posting a photo with intravenous tubes in her arm.
Nausea and Vomiting in Pregnancy (NVP), commonly known as "morning sickness", troubles approximately 70 to 85 percent of pregnant women. Madison is the second celebrity mom-to-be who has been admitted to hospital for morning sickness this week. Pregnant Kate Middleton was admitted to the hospital Monday after experiencing a severe form of morning sickness known as Hyperemesis Gravidarum.
Supportive comments from well-wishers and fans started pouring into Madison's Twitter account shortly after the blonde beauty reported her health condition.
"Thank you for all the get well wishes! Keeping me entertained-forgot to bring a book with me," she wrote.
This is the first baby for the 33-year-old with boyfriend Pasquale Rotella. The baby is due in March. "The Girls Next Door" star wanted to have kids for a long time and was planning to adopt a baby when she got pregnant in August.
During a chat with Us Weekly after confirming her pregnancy, Madison revealed having a smooth pregnancy, without any morning sickness.
"I've been lucky! No morning sickness, but I do get a little nauseous," the star of Las Vegas burlesque revue, Peepshow, told the magazine. "It happens before my show, so I keep ginger ale backstage."
Madison started modeling during her college days. She became popular after appearing as one of the girlfriends of Playboy magazine founder Hugh Hefner, through the TV series "The Girls Next Door". She also had nude pictorials with Kendra Wilkinson and Bridget Marquardt. In 2008, Madison announced her breakup with Hefner.
