'Tekken 7: Fated Retribution' Out In Japanese And Korean Arcades
Attack of the Fanboy reported that last year, the vanilla version of "Tekken 7" was released in several arcades worldwide. On Tuesday, Bandai Namco has finally released "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" in Japanese and Korean arcades.
One of the anticipated addition in "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" is the crossover character from "Street Fighter," Akuma. Several "Tekken" veterans are concerned that the new character is too hard to beat.
However, "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" gamers who already played the character disclosed that Akuma also comes with his own weaknesses, to which other fighters can exploit to score a victory. For instance, the Supreme Master of the Fist is one of the slowest characters in "Tekken 7." In addition, to those who fear his Hadoukens, players can simply side step Akuma to overcome it.
'Tekken 7' Katsuhiro Harada Speaks About The Input Lag Controversy
On a separate note, GameSpot reported that Capcom's "Street Fighter 5" received backlash from gamers due to the input lag of its PS4 version. In view of this, "Tekken 7" director Katsuhiro Harada speaks up.
Harada strikes back to those who questioned the input lag by questioning their knowledge about the issue. The "Tekken 7" director asks the inquisitive gamers if they knew how input lag works.
"It's quite frustrating to keep hearing this question, when it is hardly relevant. Don't try to sum up the whole of a game's mechanics with one catchphrase," Harada said. "Tekken 7 is the first arcade fighting game to have online play between arcades around the country. It costs roughly $1 per play. Do you really think it would be this successful and well received if everyone was complaining about input lag?"
