Shakira's Boyfriend Gerard Pique Posts Ultrasound Image of Baby

Expecting couple Shakira and her boyfriend Gerard Pique have unveiled their unborn baby to the world.

The Spanish soccer star Pique Tweeted an ultrasound photo of his unborn baby on Thursday.

"His first pic! #excited # cute," the proud father-to-be wrote after sharing a sonogram image of the baby boy with his 4,609,111 followers on Twitter.

Like Pique, mom-to-be Shakira had also given a glimpse of her growing baby bump recently. "Podría estar 9 meses más así! I could have another 9 months like this! Shak," she wrote, after showing off her bare baby bump and posing with Pique Nov.27.

Shakira's relationship with Pique started during the shooting of her famous World Cup Soccer song "Waka Waka." Splitting with her long-time boyfriend Antonio de la Rua, oldest son of former Argentinian President Fernando de la Rua in January 2011, the singer confirmed her relationship with Pique.

Shakira confirmed expecting her first child with Pique on her website in September.

"As some of you may know, Gerard and I are very happy awaiting the arrival of our first baby!" the singing sensation wrote. "At this time we have decided to give priority to this unique moment in our lives and postpone all the promotional activities planned over the next few days."

The 35-year-old singer has been cutting down her hectic work schedule to have a smooth pregnancy.

"I'd like to thank my fans for their constant love and understanding," Now daily quoted Shakira as saying. "Big kiss!"

Shakira, who started performing as a school student, became popular with her debut studio album "Pies Descalzos" (Bare Feet) in 1996. Her second studio album "Dónde están los ladrones?"(Where Are the Thieves?) was a great success in the U.S. and sold over 7 million copies worldwide. The Colombian singer has grabbed many prestigious awards, including two Grammy Awards, Billboard Music Award and MTV Video Music Awards.
