'The Walking Dead' Season 7 Latest News, Spoilers & Update: 4 Characters Become Series Regulars in 'The Walking Dead' Is Negan Here to Stay?

"The Walking Dead" Season 7 fans should brace themselves as four characters have been bumped to series regulars assuring that Negan will not be going anywhere and will still be the main enemy on the upcoming season of the hit AMC series.

E! News reported that the series regulars have been seen in the past seasons. They have been named as Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who plays the role of Negan, Tom Payne, who's characters is Jesus on "The Walking Dead" Season 7 Xander Berkley, who is known as Gregory, and Austin Amelio, who plays the role of Dwight. Since many have been dying from the past episodes, they have been added to the recent number of series regulars on AMC's zombie apocalypse series.

As for the four characters promoted as series regulars for "The Walking Dead" Season 7, it has been reported that as per the comic book series where the show is based, which is written by Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard, they will be having a significant impact on "The Walking Dead" Season 7. In the finale episode of the last season of the series, Morgan was seen making his debut as the famed villain capturing some of the people from Rick's team.

Accordingly, Jesus could possibly save Rick and his team from Negan's hands while Dwight has a beef with Daryl. As for Gregory, he is still the shady leader of the Hilltop Colony and is to clash with Maggie in the upcoming "The Walking Dead" Season 7. This, however, are yet to be seen since it is unclear who will be surviving from Negan's captivity.

The four additional characters for the series regulars have brought the total number to 20. The other series regulars for "The Walking Dead" Season 7 are Andrew Lincoln (Rick), Norman Reedus (Daryl), Steven Yeun (Glenn), Lauren Cohan (Maggie), Chandler Riggs (Carl), Danai Gurira (Michonne), Melissa McBride (Carol), Michael Cudlitz (Abraham), Lennie James (Morgan), Sonequa Martin-Green (Sasha), Alanna Masterson (Tara), Christian Serratos (Rosita), Josh McDermitt (Eugene), Seth Gilliam (Father Gabriel), Ross Marquand (Aaron), and Austin Nichols (Spencer).

The cliffhanger from the previous season of "The Walking Dead" Season 7 has caused fans to comment negatively resulting to Robert Kirkman to apologize about the upsetting ending. Reedus recently shared that the upcoming season will blow the minds of the fans and is definitely worth the wait.

"The Walking Dead" Season 7 will return this October.
