Flaritza To Replace Poussey-Taystee Tandem In 'OITNB' Season 5
Many were surprised and saddened with Poussey's (Samira Wiley) death in the last "Orange Is The New Black" season. In fact, many are wondering how her death would affect Taystee (Danielle Brooks) and girlfriend Soso (Kimiko Glenn).
The Poussey-Taystee tandem in "Orange Is The New Black" is very popular among fans because of their hilarious banters. Per Entertainment Weekly, Wiley's exit in the show remains to be one of the most talked about moments in "Orange Is The New Black" Season 4.
In the "Orange Is The New Black" penultimate episode, Poussey was accidentally killed by a guard following a peaceful protest in Litchfield. There are rumors that the said scene was similar to Eric Garner's death, who was put in a police chokehold during his arrest.
However, for those wishing to continue to see a tandem in Litchfield, per Hall of Fame Magazine, Flaca (Jackie Cruz) and Maritza (Diane Guerrero) a.k.a. Flaritza will replace the Poussey-Taystee tandem in "Orange Is The New Black" season 5. Many mourn over Poussey's death and Flaritza could bring some light moments to the show.
Daya To Pull The Trigger In "Orange Is The New Black" Season 5
One of the cliffhanger scenes in the last "Orange Is The New Black" season is Daya pointing a gun to CO Humphrey. Dasha Polanco, the star playing Daya in "OITNB" thinks that her character has chances of pulling the trigger but the thoughts of reuniting with her child outside the prison might hold her back. So, it is still uncertain what Daya would do.
"I could see her pulling the trigger. Daya's definitely experiencing some postpartum depression," Polanco told the Hollywood Reporter. "She might pull back and think about being a mother and not wanting to miss the opportunity of being with her child. But a woman going through postpartum - at that point, they're very fragile and very sensitive."
Should Daya pull the trigger? Will Flaritza be enough to replace the hilarious tandem of Poussey and Taystee in "Orange Is The New Black" Season 5? What do you think? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
