Just a couple months after the release of the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus, there are already rumors and reports about the iPhone 7. Based on the reports, some sites have listed the features consumers want to see on the phone, whether they be plausible or not.
Screen Size
Macworld says that the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus were recieved differently when it concerned screen sizes. The iPhone 6 has a screen size of 4.7- inches and seems to be favored by most consumers. On the other hand, the iPhone 6 Plus's screen size of 5.5-inches is too big according to some Apple supporters. Gadget Review suggests a screen size of 5-inches for the iPhone 7, so that it is still a one-hand held device.
Camera
Gadget Review believes that Apple will probably update the iPhone 7's camera to one with DSLR quality. There are currently three possibilities for the phone's camers: a) a 2 lens system, b) 4K video capture 21 MP photos, or c) a lens swap option, like a DSLR.
Design
With the iPhone 6 Plus's "bending" problems, Apple will surely reconsider the building materials for bigger models. Macworld states that the Apple Watch is already built with a sapphire glass, so it is likely that the iPhone 7 will have one as well.
In terms of casing durability, Know Your Mobile believes that the iPhone 7 will be made with liquid metal. Macworld shares the same opinion, as liquid metal will allow Apple to make a light and thin iPhone, regarless of a bigger screen.
All sites reporting on the iPhone 7 state that it is likely that it will have a side-wall display. Macworld reports: "Apple has published a patent relating to such displays, which hints at a future iPhone with a display that extends onto the sides of the device, providing interactive or touch sensitive portions that give access to the slide..."
Power
According to Recode.net, the iPhone 7 will have a A9 chip set. Samsung and Apple will be working together on the design for the chip, reported Recode. The report adds: "The balance of power has shifted back to Samsung. Thanks to its advanced fabrication technology."
There is also talk of 2GB of RAM on the iPhone 7. Increasing the RAM will most likely improve multi-tasking and lower power consumption, reports Know Your Mobile.
Other Features
There are other possible features for the phone, including Force Technology and a joystick Home button.
Force Technology is basically a phone's touch sensor. As of now, the Apple Watch has Force Technology, reports Macworld.
A joystick Home button has been rumored because of a patent filed by Apple on July 9, 2013.Macworld states, however, that the iPhone 7 will probably not have a joystick, since only a small percentage of iPhone consumers are gamers.
According to Macworld, the iPhone 7 has a possible release date of mid-September because of the release dates of iPhones in the past. The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus were released to the public in September last year.
