Raising Strong Children Can Be Achievd Through Strong Parenting by Strong Parents

How parents raise their children has a lot of implications about how the child will be when he or she grows up. It will eventually determine what kind of qualities the child will have during the different stages such as toddlerhood, adolescence and even adulthood. Arguably, one of the most important traits that any child, male or female, could ever possess is that of strength.

Having strength means that a child is able to build good character. And with this character they will hopefully be able to withstand even the greatest force or pressure, says Shelley Hopper for the Huffington Post. If they do so successfully, they will grow up to by quite successful in both their personal and professional lives.

"I strive to symbolize the faith of self-love and happiness for women...for people, and believe in the right to be a strong, independent female full of good character, dignity, and strength," says Hooper in her blog post. "We should put an emphasis on raising little boys and little girls who will turn into men and women who will go on to make this world a better place. Hearts full of kindness, strength, and compassion, and souls filled with humbleness, good morals and ethics, and the skills to be successful yet considerate, no matter their race, sexual preference, or gender identity," she adds.

Resources such as the Strong for Parenting podcast definitely helps in the endeavor of any parent who is trying to raised what is considered as a "strong child." A strong child needs to have compassion and good character, says Hooper. The definition she used for compassion is the "Sympathetic pity and concern for the sufferings or misfortunes of others," while she used the definition "'A complex of mental and ethical traits' which typically include the existence of empathy, courage, fortitude, honesty, loyalty, good behavior and habits" for the latter.
