"The Elder Scrolls 6," which was previously tagged to be Argonia after a Black Marsh map, may be "Skyrim 2." Bethesda gave "The Elder Scrolls 6" a significant reveal at the E3 2016 unveiling of "Skyrim Remastered" in relation to release date and technology.
'Skyrim Remastered' Announced In Place of 'The Elder Scrolls 6' Development
As cited by Parent Herald, "The Elder Scrolls 6" development is yet to be given a start date with "Skyrim Remastered" as Bethesda offering on the interim. Nonetheless, Games Radar reports that both Bethesda PR and Marketing Vice President Pete Hines and Bethesda Game Studios executive producer Todd Howard confirmed that "The Elder Scrolls 6" is happening.
Bethesda Goes Bigger Than 'Skyrim'
Following E3 2016, a pushback for a 2020 release by Bethesda is now anticipated for "The Elder Scrolls 6." Prior to "The Elder Scrolls 6" development, Bethesda is set to work on two major games.
IGN reports that these games preceding "The Elder Scrolls 6" development are even bigger than Bethesda hits "Skyrim" and "Fallout." The media outlet received clarification on "The Elder Scrolls 6" plans and the scope of the new Bethesda projects from Peter Hines in reference to E3 2016 reveal by Todd Howard.
"I'm just making sure folks understand, like, that doesn't mean he's going to spit out a DLC and another DLC and we're head faking," Peter Hines emphasized about "TES 6." "Like, I need folks to understand that we're talking about big games like a 'Skyrim' and a 'Fallout 4' and a 'Fallout 3' and those don't just happen."
'Skyrim 2' Versus 'Argonia'
In the meantime, "The Elder Scrolls 6" may not be the popularly touted "Argonia" but "Skyrim 2" instead. Digital Spy referenced reports that rather than Argonia "The Elder Scrolls 6" may be set in Skyrim once more.
This is not impossible given Bethesda release of "Skyrim Remastered" in the last quarter of 2016. "The Elder Scrolls 6" with the same map as "TES 5" and following "Skyrim Remastered" somehow makes sense.
A new map as Argonia, Morrowind or Redwood for "The Elder Scrolls 6" definitely has strong attraction, but "TES 6" may have much yet to mine in Skyrim. Considering a possible "The Elder Scrolls 6" release date of 2020, would you take "Skyrim 2" or a different map including Argonia?
