'Battlefield' 1 Release Date, News & Updates: EA's 'Battlefield' Game Coming To TV Real Soon? Hate It or Love It?

For almost 15 years of widespread popularity, Electronic Arts are in confirmation with Paramount Television, and are now envisioning "Battlefield" heading into another media realm. The game's seemingly realistic portrayal of combat and military action had apparently inspired the people behind the "Battlefield" game to put it alongside popular shows on mainstream TV.

Anonymous Content, known for the "True Detective" and "Mr. Robot" TV series, have collaborated as well with Paramount on the TV venture for the "Battlefield" game series, says ScreenCrush. Although both companies are surely excited over the prospect of rallying fans for the "Battlefield" TV adaptation, no network has been signed on yet.

Other than further speculations on how "Battlefield" would fare on mainstream TV, Michael Sugar of Anonymous Content believes in the loyal fanbase of the "Battlefield" series. Not a typically easy sell among those who aren't that familiar with the game's storylines nor gameplay, Sugar feels that it is a timely decision to make.

It is a risk to take though, however Electronic Arts is also set for worldwide release of "Battlefield" 1 this October for PS4, Xbox One and Origin on PC. This could mean fans are getting prepped on what to expect with the upcoming "Battlefield" TV series.

Meanwhile, The Verge also pointed out on why the "Battlefield" game-to-TV adaptation could remain consistently highly successful as well. Following the release of the first "Battlefield" game in 2002, titled "Battlefield" 1942, the game has evolved and expanded since then.

Because of its co-operative tactical strategy nature, "Battlefield" has quickly earned the respect and coveted reputation over the years. Its fictional campaigns and adrenaline-filled gameplay has gamers not complaining whether it went in another direction, just like its WWI theme for "Battlefield" 1.

So who do you think would get cast for the "Battlefield" game series on TV? Should its developer Digital Illusions make the pick? Tune in for more details coming soon.

What do you think about the TV version of "Battlefield?" Love it or hate it? Your thoughts on the comment section below.
