After its official release on July 6, "Pokemon Go" became an instant hit not only to young children, but also to those who are young at heart. The augmented reality game managed to capture the interest of the gamers worldwide.
"Pokemon Go" is known to be one of the augmented reality games as of 2016. Compared to other smartphone games, "Pokemon Go" urges its players to move around ad stay mobile as they search for the Pokemons.
Inquisitr noted that "Pokemon Go" users could not easily spot the Pokemon they're looking for through their camera lenses. Players would need to stay mobile and move around for them to catch the character.
It's been almost a week since "Pokemon Go" was released and players are quite impressed with their unexpected weight loss results. It was noted that "Pokemon Go" turned into one of the most popular weight loss schemes as players were required to walk a couple kilometers just to "catch them all."
Though "Pokemon Go" may be quite popular among younger children, it was mentioned that handheld devices including smartphones and tablets, should be off limits for children 12 and below. Huffpost highlighted that it can negatively affect the child's overall health which can even cause sleep deprivation and obesity.
In a research by Tremblay in 2005, it was revealed that TV and video games place children at risk with obesity. Children with gadgets on their bedrooms are 30% changes of going obese.
