The animated television show "Steven Universe" will soon be making its way back into television screens as series writer Matt Burnett announced the news on social media.
According to Movie News Guide, the new season will be titled "Steven Universe: Summer Adventures" and its episodes will be broadcasted in weeknights starting its premiere episode. Burnett posted the news about the schedule on Twitter. "The promos are out there - Steven Universe is airing new episodes almost every weeknight for over a month - all of Season 3 is coming!" he wrote on his official account earlier this July.
In the new season of "Steven Universe," he will find out that he has a superpower, with an episode featuring him floating in the air. He will then have trouble trying to get down as he lost control of it.
Entertainment Weekly has reported that 20 new episodes of "Steven Universe" will be aired for the whole month of July until August. This could be after fans were disappointed with how irregular the scheduling of previous seasons has been.
Before the end of the second season of "Steven Universe,' a purple and rainbow-haired gem named Bismuth (played by "Orange Is the New Black" star and 2-time Emmy winner Uzo Aduba) has been introduced to audiences. Bismuth previously saved the Earth from a disaster a thousand years ago and will team up with Steven and the other Crystal Gems, Amethyst, Pearl and Garnet.
The title of the third episode of "Steven Universe" season 3 has also been announced already ("Drop Beat Dad") though there is no official synopsis yet. The other upcoming episodes are titled "Mr. Greg," "Too Short To Ride," "The New Lars" and "Beach City Drift."
"Steven Universe" season 3 will start airing with a 22-minute episode on Cartoon Network on July 18 at 7 PM.
