Despite it being Oscars night, AMC still decided to release a very interesting episode of "The Walking Dead." Episode 11 of the show starts off with many doubts and fears, but may bring a lot of hope and happiness for the surivors in the next episodes.
Episode 10 left off with Sasha and Maggie crossing paths with a "clean-shaven" guy named Aaron, reports Christaian Today. The episode ended with the audience wondering if Aaron was a "friend" or "foe."
Episode 11 seemingly answers this question. TV Line describes the events of the latest episode.
It starts with the Aaron's introduction to Rick and the rest of the group. As expected, Rick does not take a liking to Aaron. When Aaron tells him and the rest of the group about a safe camp, Rick's paranoia seems to intesify.
Aaron tells the group that in order to get into the safe camp, they must "audition." Later he jokingly adds, "that's only on Friday nights." He is met with silence as Rick and the rest of the group try to get a read on him.
As evidence of the safe camp, Aaron then shows the group a picture of what looks like a well-protected community. After seeing the photo, Michonne softens to Aaron and his story. Rick, however, had the reverse reaction and punches Aaron.
The newcomer is apparently used to this kind of treatment, though. Charlie, from YouTube Channel Emergency Awesome -- seen below -- reveals that Aaron used to work for an NGO that gave medicine to impoverished areas in third world countries. Charlie suggests that Aaron is used to dealing with warlords and the like. So, Rick is just a walk in the park.
After a lot of coaxing from Michonne and the rest of the group, Rick finally allows Aaron to lead them to his community. On the way, however, the survivors are separated into two groups by a crowd of walkers. Glenn, Rick, and Michonne are with Aaron, whil everyone else is safe away from the walkers.
A flare is shot and Aaron breaks away from his group with his hands still bound. Glenn runs after Aaron and saves him from nearly being bitten by a walker. Aaron seems to find his bravery again and fights against the walkers along side Glenn, Rick, and Michonne. It is later revealed on the show, that the flare was shot by Eric, who is Aaron's partner, in every way.
The episode ends with the group making it to the Alexandria Safe-Zone, which means Aaron was telling the truth. The show leaves off with the audience thinking that Aaron is a good guy. However, as fans of the show know, there could still be some surprises from Aaron.
Rick makes the observation that he can hear kids playing before they enter the community. This seems to say that the group's struggle is over. However, this is only episode eleven of season five, so there will undoubtedly be more walkers and struggles in the future for Rick and the rest of the group.
