"Orange is the New Black" Season 5 spoilers note on the possibility that Daya (Dascha Polanco) will die in the upcoming season. As viewers can recall, Season 4 ended with a cliffhanger, which showed Daya pointing a gun at a police officer.

The "OITNB" Season 4 finale also showed the death of fan-favorite character Poussey (Samira Wiley). While details about the upcoming season of the Netflix series remain to be seen, many fans are wondering whether Daya will die in the new season.

Matt McGorry, who played C.O. Bennett, also discussed with Bustle the possibility that his character will return in "Orange is the New Black" Season 5. According to the actor, fans and viewers should not rule out the possibility of his character's return in the upcoming season.

Bennett left after having an affair with Daya, not realizing that the latter was already pregnant with his child. In "Orange is the New Black" Season 5, Bennett and Daya may reunite, but fans are speculating that when they do, it's already too late.

Meanwhile, Samira Wiley also told People that Poussey's sudden death in "Orange is the New Black" Season 4 had an "unfathomable" connection to the recent shooting incidents in the U.S. According to the actress, her character's death was supposed to "reflect something of the past," not the present.

"I think that [the Black Lives Matter movement] is always relevant," she said. "It's unfortunate that it is."

"Orange is the New Black" Season 5 is expected to premiere in June 2017 on Netflix.
