As March starts rolling, PlayStation Plus subscribers are awaiting for next month's list of free games. The wait maybe a little longer, however, as the EU PlayStation Blog Manager Fred Dutton has stated the list is still in the works, apparently.
According to Game Pur, Dutton shared this information via Twitter, when asked by @SzczurekPB about the PSN free games this March.
"@FredDutton hey, When can we expect March PS Plus games announcement?"
The blog manager replied with a tweet of his own stating, "@SzczureckPB We're still finalising details. ASAP this week."
Gospel Herald reported that the list could possibly come out Wednesday or Thursday of this week based on the official PlayStation Blog. However, seeing as there is still no list to be found for this month, maybe it will be announced over the weekend.
Gospel Herald also makes some predictions on which games will be free. According to the report, "Sony likes to give away at least one newly-released game to entice players to go for the PlayStation Plus Upgrade..."
The site predicts that four games which are expected to be launched on March 3 could be free. These four titles are "Helldivers", "Shiflings", "White Night", and "Resident Evil Revelations 2: Episode 2."
Of the four, Gospel Herald, believes "Helldivers" and "Resident Evil Revelations 2" have a good shot at being free. The site says "Helldivers" has a high chance of being included among the free games because it will have a platform-wide release. The game is set to be released on the PS4, PS3, and the PS Vita.
On the other hand, "Resident Evil Revelations 2" is a said to be a good choice because it is part of a familiar franchise. Although, according to Eurogamer, the PC version of the game has received some negative reviews.
Some good news came to Japan, however, when a promotional poster supposedly leaked two possibilities for the PS Plus free games list, reports Game Pur. An image of "BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma and Toukiden: The Age of Demons" was seen on a promo poster at various video game retail stores in Japan. The pictures have lead people to think that the titles will be released for free on the PlayStation Plus next month.
Without a list, gamers in North America and Europe might as well wait for games to actually come out on the PS Plus, instead of waiting for an announcement. The free games will be available starting March 3 in North American and on March 4 in Europe. It seems more practical to wait for the actual games' release rather than just a list. After all it is only a few days away.
