Katy Perry posted two tweets early on Wednesday that Twitter users are pointing out to be possibly pointed at Taylor Swift. It came a few hours after Calvin Harris voiced his disapproval of Swift confirming that she co-wrote his hit single with Rihanna, "This Is What You Came For."
According to Entertainment Weekly, Katy Perry posted a GIF meme of Hillary Clinton giving a knowing look and shrugging before silently laughing. Katy Perry also retweeted a post she wrote back in May 2015 just a few days before the music video for Swift's "Bad Blood" hit the web. "Time, the ultimate truth teller," she posted then. It is widely speculated that "Bad Blood" is widely rumored to be a hit at Katy Perry due to a "professional" rivalry.
The Scottish DJ and Swift's former flame earlier mentioned Katy Perry in his own series of tweets, alluding to the two pop stars' alleged feud. He expressed displeasure at being blindsided after Swift's camp confirmed that she used the pseudonym Nils Sjöberg to write a portion of Harris' Rihanna collaboration.
"Hurtful to me at this point that her and her team would go so far out of their way to try and make ME look bad at this stage though," Harris posted. Harris also publicly told Swift to just focus on her new relationship with "Thor" actor and rumored new James Bond actor Tom Hiddleston. He also called out Swift for trying to "bury" him like what he thinks she did with Katy Perry but insists he would not allow it.
According to the Mirror UK, due to the ongoing controversy, Katy Perry and Calvin Harris fans flooded Swift's Instagram posts with snake emojis and scathing remarks expressing quite clearly whose side they are on. The hashtag #TaylorSwiftIsOverParty has also started trending on social media sites and apps.
