Well, business is business. And who better to promote "Pokemon Go" further than a world renowned food chain, right?
Considerably the biggest game app in history, "Pokemon Go" has incited a worldwide trend in what seems to be Nintendo, The Pokemon Company, and Niantic Labs' most lucrative mobile-game series yet. So far the game has not only been the most downloaded app, it has become the most used app by Android and iOS users as well, according to Games Radar.
What "Pokemon Go" fans are being prepared for is the idea of placing Pokespots in more public, and familiar locations. These "Pokemon Go" spots are going to be considered as the safest locations to spot them Pokemons. Niantic Labs, getting the recognition it deserves as the "Pokemon Go" developer, has been rumored to be in partnership with fastfood giant McDonalds for these Pokespots.
As far as "Pokemon Go" players are concerned, some critics have opened up to this alternative compromise to bring the mobile game app's players converging safely in a known place. The "Pokemon Go" game has just been released in three countries as of the moment, and its wild rise to fame has overseas fans asking as to when the game would reach their shores soon.
"Pokemon Go" Trend Surges Despite Negative Feedback
Everyone is, of course, aware of the negativity surrounding the "Pokemon Go" game franchise. Just like accidentally finding dead bodies, getting into holdups, and all other sorts of mayhem because fans couldn't just get over finding the lovable Pokemons.
So a sponsored location could be the best option yet, and Niantic Labs patting McDonald's for partnership could well work for "Pokemon Go" fans, in a related Gizmodo post. The oddball thing about it was that Niantic sourcing McDonald's as a possible Pokespot was coincidentally "discovered" by some "Pokemon Go" users.
More "Pokemon Go" updates
Meanwhile, Niantic labs CEO John Hanke has announced that the "Pokemon Go" app would eventually evolve and become compatible to future Pokemon games. For now, only 1st gen-Pokemons are available while upcoming Pokemon releases are still in planning stages. Hanke also confirmed that Pokemon Go will be compatible with other generations of Pokemon in the future through updates.
