'Modern Family' Star Ariel Winter’s Defense Silenced Online Critics

"Modern Family" star Ariel Winter has often faced criticism online. Over time, the actress has now learned to deal with it. Talking about the internet flaring you up or encouraging you to react is something Ariel is now too familiar of.

Ariel Winter has always faced trolls on the internet. Some ruthless trolls even prompted "The Modern Family" to react in ways that would not have been possible for her earlier.

The star of the comedy series "Modern Family" now defends herself well on the internet. Well, we can say that time has taught her well!

On "The Talk," where Winter was a guest Ariel Winter discussed the negative reaction that she received when she decided to get a new tattoo and a breast reduction.

"When I got my tattoos-I have 5 now-and every time I post about getting a tattoo, every single person on the face of the planet has something to say about it. 'You shouldn't be getting tattoos because you're ruining your body. How dare you destroy yourself even more? You were pretty and a nice person and now you're just trash,'" she shared.

The "Modern Family" star questioned why people have an opinion on 'everything that she does.' She expressed herself saying that such kind of a thing could destroy a person and it is also the most disgusting thing that they can spend time on.

"You're sitting behind a computer, you don't have the guts to say it to my face, but you have the time and energy to shame and hurt somebody on the computer, and that just show how little respect you have for other people and how people spend their time," she said.

The "Modern Family" star told that she was in a lot of pain and was low on confidence. That is the reason that she wanted to get a breast reduction done. She faced criticism saying that she got a breast reduction just because she was being scrutinized. Ariel confirmed that this is not the truth. The truth behind the decision was because she felt like getting it done. Her back hurt less and she could sit more straight after getting it done. For Winter, it was life changing.

"And even now, what's funny to me, even after i got the breast reduction, everybody still comments on anything I wear. I can wear a tank top and people still go, 'Oh you know, she looks like this and that. I'm sure she is this kind of person. Oh she's asking for it. I thought she got the breast reduction because she didn't want people to look at her or think about her anymore.' That's not true. That's so untrue."

However, despite the "Modern Family" star stating her agony, we all know that online criticism will go on. Another actress, who whip-lashed tabloid media for their 'cruelty' was Jennifer Aniston.
