Several bombings have taken place over the past two years making it more challenging for parents to shield their kids from the cruelty of terrorism. With the bombings, terrorist attacks and killings flooding the news, parents should take time in explaining what's going on. "Mr. Rogers" who is known as Fred Rogers in real life, dished out a few tips on how parents should address terrorism with their kids. In one of his interviews featured in the Archive of American Television, Fred Rogers shared some of his childhood experiences as to how his mom would explain terrorism to him.

"When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, 'Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping,'" Rogers said. "To this day, especially in times of 'disaster,' I remember my mother's words and I am always comforted by realizing that there are still so many helpers - so many caring people in this world."
