"Rick and Morty" Season 3 return date will take a much longer waiting time, as series creator Dan Harmon recently addressed rumors that the Adult Swim series is premiering in August. In an interview, Harmon and Justin Roiland teased some exciting episodes ahead for the series, including a possible "Interdimensional Cable 3."

"Rick and Morty" Season 3 return date is confirmed to take longer than the expected release of the Adult Swim animated series. While fans are definitely disappointed to hear that the series may be released in late 2016 or early 2017, series creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland recently shared some exciting details about the upcoming season.
"Rick and Morty" Season 3 will have about 14 episodes and Roiland revealed to Collider that fans and viewers will definitely have a lot to watch out for next season. Roiland shared that they are already in the middle of production for the upcoming season.
"It's always surprising to see what people react to and what episodes are people's favorites and stuff because we can never predict that internally but we've got some great stuff this season that we're really, really excited about," said Roiland.
The series creator was also asked about the possibility that there would be an "Interdimensional Cable 3" in "Rick and Morty" Season 3. Roiland said that he is looking forward to creating one in the upcoming season and Harmon also seemed to favor the idea.
Meanwhile, Harmon recently slammed the "Rick and Morty" Season 3 air date reports online in an interview with Paste magazine. According to the co-creator, they are far from releasing the upcoming season in August.
Harmon said that should they have a release date for "Rick and Morty" Season 3, that announcement would come from Adult Swim or Cartoon Network. He also said that they are still far from announcing a hard date for the return of the animated series.
