'Guardians Of The Galaxy' Vol. 2 Director Talks Sylvester Stallone, Kurt Russell In Key Roles

Alright, fellow movie fans, Comic Con 2016 has revealed some very interesting updates recently. And one of 2014's heroically awesome movies is back for a new sequel, "Guardians of the Galaxy" Vol. 2, this 2017.

What's more interesting is the latest announcement from Director James Gunn regarding new characters for "Guardians of the Galaxy" Vol. 2, in a Cinema Blend post. Gunn has said that Sly Stallone has also been added as a new cast member for "Guardians of the Galaxy" Vol. 2.

Everyone knows that Stallone has legendary acting skills, and his latest venture into the spaced-out world of the new "Guardians of the Galaxy" movie would eventually amp the hype that's already going around. So far, "Guardians of the Galaxy" Vol. 2 director Gunn has left out surely important details of what Sly's role would be.

However, director Gunn already confirmed Kurt Russell's involvement in "Guardians of the Galaxy" Vol. 2, and that would be as Peter Quill/Star Lord's father (portrayed by Chris Pratt). Turns out Russell's character as Ego, the Living Planet actually sounds really cool too.

Still, Stallone could end up as one of the Ravagers' leaders in "Guardians of the Galaxy" Vol. 2, in a related Comic Book post.Even though James Gunn just implied a cameo for Stallone, he highlighted that the role would be a key input in the new "Guardians of the Galaxy" movie.

This was because Stallone attended the "Guardians of the Galaxy" Vol. 2 in regular clothes and kept everything casual at the event, making fans of the movie franchise feeling a bit edgy waiting to know what he'll be doing in the new "Guardians of the Galaxy" Vol. 2 movie.

Of course, the next few weeks and months would have everyone in the online world scrounging for further information on "Guardians of the Galaxy" Vol. 2 as to whatever spoilers and bits till the next teaser or so. Let's all wait and see, as more details are going to be up soon.
