'Scream Queens' Season 2 Release Date, News & Update: 'Arrow' Star, 'Ghostbusters' Actress Join Emma Roberts' Chanel In S2?

"Scream Queens" Season 2 cast just grew with news that "Arrow" star Colton Haynes and "Ghostbusters" reboot actress Cecily Strong will join Emma Roberts' Chanel Oberlin and Chanels. "Scream Queens" Season 2 takes the cast of the quirky Ryan Murphy series into mental asylum horror.

TVLine reports that "Scream Queens" Season 2 premiere will fast forward three years after Chanel Oberlin, Chanel Number 3 (Billie Lourd) and Chanel Number 5 (Abigail Breslin) were framed by the Red Devil of S1. As consequence, Chanel Oberlin and Chanel Number 3 and 5 were last seen at the "Scream Queens" Season 1 committed to a mental institution while the Red Devil, Hester Ulrich (Lea Michele) roamed free.

Joining Chanel Oberlin and the Chanels at the time jump are "Scream Queens" Season 2 returnees Cathy Munsch (Jamie Lee Curtis), Keke Palmer, Niecy Nash and Glen Powell. Newcomers to "Scream Queens" Season 2 besides Colton Haynes and Cecily Strong are Taylor Lautner and John Stamos.

According to Vanity Fair, John Stamos (as Dr Brock Holt) will have just received a hand transplant at the "Scream Queens" Season 2 premiere. Why, John Stamos' doctor even lost his hand, "Scream Queens" Season 2 will soon reveal.

While John Stamos' hand transplant sends images of a cursed and serial killing hand, "Twilight" star Taylor Lautner will also play a doctor in "Scream Queens" Season 2. In keeping with the theme, Taylor Lautner as Dr Cassidy Cascade will be anything but normal.

Colton Haynes presumably completes the promised medical roster for "Scream Queens" Season 2. Either Taylor Lautner or Colton Haynes will be playing a love interest for Chanel Oberlin, who used to date Glen Powell as Dicky Dollar Scholar Chad Radwell.

FOX has yet to reveal what Cecily Strong will bring to the table at "Scream Queens" Season 2. Nonetheless, "Scream Queens" Season 2 premiere is all set for September 20.
