The "American Gods" TV show will definitely send viewers talking. As some reports previously confirmed, the Neil Gaiman novel of the same name will have TV show adaptation that will be shown on Starz in 2017.
Gaiman has already confirmed that "American Gods" TV show will try to be as accurate as the novel, but will also explore other stories and points of view that readers didn't really grasp in the book. "I think they're doing a remarkable job," the author told Yahoo.
"The book itself exists almost entirely from Shadow's point of view. So one of the first things that we're doing is going we don't have to make a TV series that only exists from Shadow's point of view. We can watch what happens to Mad Sweeney. We can watch what happened to Laura before she died. We can watch what happened to Laura after she died. We can go off and do things with people. Stuff is happening. I think they've definitely taken the right approach in just how you open something like this up."
As for the "American Gods" TV show cast, a handful of them has already shared their weird and unusual experiences while filming the show. Lead actor Ricky Whittle for one, recalled the sex scene he had to do with co-star Emily Browning, who plays his wife Laura in the show.
"It's a little more than my mom and dad want to see. Sixty seconds doesn't seem like long. But when you're dry humping a friend of yours. . naked. . .in front of a crew. . . it's a long sixty seconds," Whittle said about his "American Gods" love scene, Vanity Fair reported. "I go home very frustrated, when there is a beautiful woman you respect and you are so professional during a day of love making, and you go home to an empty apartment. I mean, you know, you break out the candles, open up some wine, take a nice bath, you treat yourself good."
The actor also dished that fans will have to wait for "American Gods" season 2 before they can witness his feline sex scene with Egyptian goddess Bastet. "You gotta save the cat sex for Season 2," he said.
Meanwhile, Pablo Schreiber's character, Mad Sweeney, will die in the novel as fans already know. However, Schreiber's role in the "American Gods" TV show will be very important that his death could possibly be delayed. The actor also revealed that once his character dies, Gaiman is even thinking of a possible "Walking Dead" plot to bring him back from the dead.
