The April 3 release of "Fast and the Furious 7" will come in time as the film's ride version is going to be set for a grand launch on June 25. CNN Money reported that Hollywood's Universal Studios told the world about the good news via YouTube.
The NBC owned theme park's management reportedly uploaded a video on the site to give visitors a glimpse of the future tram ride.
The film franchise's theme park ride will be referred to as, "Fast and the Furious Supercharged." Families that'll go on vacation in Los Angeles to visit the theme park will get a taste of the film's action scenes. Visitors who will ride the "Supercharged" attraction will feel like they're zooming in on the action scenes with the film's cast members.
Fox2Now.com reported that "Fast and the Furious" cast member, Michelle Rodriguez described the ride to the media, saying, "They're going to have the heat of fire flying at you."
She added, "It's really a sensory driven experience."
Universal Studios Hollywood patrons will take the "Furious" tour within a 65-foot square foot tall premises that have a 360-degree screen inside, as reported in the L.A. Times. Seating inside the tram, patrons will see 3-D pictures on a 400-foot tall screen that has 34 projectors. These state-of-the-art facilities will make guests feel like they're on a 120 miles per hour travel inside the "Furious" attraction.
Hydraulic lifts beneath the tram, mist, smoke and wind attraction effects will relive the exciting action scenes in the "Fast and the Furious" films. Allegedly, the "Furious" attraction has incorporated the same technological facilities as those found in Universal's King Kong 360 3-D attraction.
This upcoming movie attraction comes after the launch of last year's "Despicable Me Minion Mayhem" at Universal's Hollywood theme park branch. Next year, the same theme park branch in Hollywood is set to launch the "Wizarding World of Harry Potter."
The "Furious Supercharged" will also feature the prop cars used in the "Fast and the Furious" movie franchises. Among these cars guests will see inside the attraction is Vin Diesel's Dodge Charger, according to Variety.
To date, America's movie-themed amusement park has another site in Orlando, Florida. It also has theme parks in Singapore, Osaka, Japan and Paris, France. Universal has plans to open future branches in South Korea, United Arab Emirates, China, and Russia, in the coming years.
