'Sherlock' Season 4 Latest News & Updates; Holmes To Face His Toughest Enemy Yet?

"Something's coming. Something's coming". Benedict Cumberbatch aka Sherlock Holmes states in a haunting tone as San Diego Comic Con recently revealed a short clip for "Sherlock" season 4 this 2017.

Jim Moriarty (played by Andrew Scott) first appears on the screen, asking someone if he was missed. This doesn't exactly mean that he could still be alive, however, there's no telling what he would bring back in "Sherlock" season 4, CNN reports.

Still unchangeable though, is the series' dark theme and tone as evident in the new "Sherlock" season 4 trailer. However, Sherlock Holmes seems to be really having a bad day (probably as early as episode 1), as his physical state looks grim and tired. Yet, his character somehow manages to consistently look charmingly dignified on-screen.

A new villain for Sherlock?

Fans would also be seeing Toby Jones in "Sherlock" season 4, as Holmes' newest foe, in a related Digital Spy post. Everyone knows Toby Jones from the Harry Potter films as Dobby, having also starred in "The Hunger Games" and "Captain America: Winter Soldier".

Jones' sinister laugh can be heard in the new "Sherlock" season 4, and we're guessing he would prove to be a really difficult adversary for Sherlock. Playing Culverton Smith in the new season, his expertise in the nasty world of deadly tropical diseases would keep Sherlock busy trying to keep himself alive. Que in the nurses, please.

Holmes has a furry partner in "Sherlock" season 4

Anyway, Sherlock also has a bloodhound as an added companion in "Sherlock" season 4. Is this so because Holmes' partner Dr. Watson is expecting a baby with wife Mary in the upcoming season? We'll leave you all with that nice thought.

"Sherlock" season 4 will continue with season 5

Word has already gotten out from Moffat announcing that the crime-drama would be moving on to season 5, with Benedict Cumberbatch continuing on as Sherlock together with Martin Freeman as Watson. More details on "Sherlock" season 4 coming soon, so hang in there folks.
