"Constantine" Season 2 is not likely going to happen anytime soon after the show was cancelled on NBC after only one season. While the series has been off air for a while now, rumors are rife that the drama may still find a new home in The CW. Can the show still live on for another season?
Talks of "Constantine" Season 2 happening began after CW Seed started to stream the episodes from the first season of the NBC series. Fans have been raising online petitions in hopes of seeing the show renewed for another season since many viewers believed that the series had a lot of potential and the problem lied in the network itself.
Many fans thought that "Constantine" was only in the wrong network and The CW would be a better home for the series since it also airs other superhero series such as "Arrow," "The Flash" and "Legends of Tomorrow." Carter Matt, however, notes that series creator Daniel Cerone recently addressed rumors that Season 2 may happen on The CW.
Cerone stated that he recently checked with network execs and discovered that there are currently no talks of bringing in "Constantine" Season 2 to The CW. However, fans remain optimistic since Cerone said "current plans" and the network might change its mind in the future.
iDigitalTimes also notes that Matt Ryan, who plays the lead role in "Constantine," previously made a cameo in "Arrow" Season 4. This further led to speculations that Season 2 may still happen on the show.
In the meantime that "Constantine" Season 2 is still far from becoming a reality, fans and viewers can stream previous episodes of the show on CW Seed. Many fans encourage others to watch the show in order to prove to The CW that the drama is worth picking up and renewing for another season.
