Prince Harry Regrets Not Giving Pippa Middleton The £250K Engagement Ring? Wedding Of Duchess Of Cambridge Kate's Sister Will Be More Epic?

Pippa Middleton reportedly received a £250,000 engagement ring from fiance James Matthews but Prince Harry fans wonder if His Royal Highness regrets not being the one to propose. As news of Pippa Middleton and James Matthews' engagement continues, Prince Harry is actually 10 years too late.

While Prince Harry and Pippa Middleton fans were hoping for royal coupledom, James Matthews already knew that he and the sister of the Duchess Of Cambridge are fated. The Daily Mail reports that James Matthews waited 10 years after meeting Pippa Middleton for the first time to find the courage to pop the question.

During that first meeting, James Matthews could only fall in love with Pippa Middleton from a distance as the sister of the Duchess Of Cambridge was seeing someone else. James Matthews reportedly also worried about his eight-year age difference with Pippa Middleton.

According to The Daily Mail, James Matthews consulted with his mom-in-law-to-be Carole, seeking her blessing before staging the surprise for Pippa Middleton. James Matthews fittingly asked Pippa Middleton to be his wife at St Barth's, where they first met each other.

The story of love and courtship for James Matthews and Pippa Middleton had been making hearts melt. So much so that Prince Harry and Pippa Middleton fans would forgive that the Duchess Of Cambridge is spending her happy-ever-after with James Matthews instead of His Royal Highness.

Parent Herald reports that Prince Harry and Pippa Middleton became an unofficial royal love team in 2011. The public paired Prince Harry with Pippa Middleton after they assisted in the royal wedding of the Duke and Duchess Of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate.

BBC News, however, reports that if Prince Harry has any regrets in life, it has to do with his mother Princess Diana rather than Pippa Middleton. According to the news agency, Prince Harry only began opening up in 2013 about how Princess Diana affected him.

Princess Diana died in 1997 when Prince Harry was only 12. This revelation about Princess Diana came through an event that Prince Harry hosted in relation to his, Prince William and Kate Middleton's mental health campaign "Heads Together."

"It is OK to suffer, but as long as you talk about it; it is not a weakness," Prince Harry stated. "Weakness is having a problem and not recognising it and not solving that problem."
