"Grand Theft Auto" only gets better with each installment. Rockstar Games always takes the game up a notch with each of its releases. How the big question is this: Where should the "Grand Theft Auto 6" be set?
The first game to feature in three big cities was "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas." With "Grand Theft Auto V," Rockstar ensured that the game covered the biggest surface area in all the games. Now rumors are ablaze that "Grand Theft Auto VI" could be the first game in 3D generation to go abroad. In 1999, the game was set in London with "Grand Theft Auto: London, 1969."
It is a known fact that the game has already exhausted all the possible locations in USA. New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Miami are all done! Rockstar Games co-founder Dan Houser mused the possibility of taking the game abroad, reported N4BB.
Where could "Grand Theft Auto 6" Go?
Chicago
One American city that is left untouched by the "Grand Theft Auto" series is Chicago. The city has a long running history of crime which makes it enticing. If Rockstar does not want to leave US as of yet, then Chicago might be an ideal setting. "Grand Theft Auto" games have the ability to capture contemporary culture and weave extremely good stories out of it. Chicago might be a grand choice for Rockstar.
If the franchise wants to explore other cultures then it is possible that the take "Grand Theft Auto IV" abroad, reported Neurogadget.
London
We can say that this is the easiest choice that Rockstar Games can make. They have already taken the game to London in "Grand Theft Auto: London, 1969," as already mentioned. London is intriguing when it comes to crime stories. Rockstar will just have to rebuild the city and use a different name. The scope that the city offers is enormous as we have already seen examples like Sony's "The Getaway." So, there is a chance that "Grand Theft Auto VI" might be set in London.
Tokyo
Tokyo has a very recognizable urban setting. It has a built-in crime setup. It features notorious Mafia of Japan called Yakuza. All these factors make Tokyo worth considering. However, it is a little too easy for Rockstar and this might just discourage the company from taking "Grand Theft Auto VI" to Tokyo.
It is still not set in stone as to where the "Garand Theft Auto 6" will be set. Also, there is not much clarity on the release date of the game. Look out for more news on this on Parent Herald.
