E! news host, Giuliana Rancic's infertility problems were far from over. People reported that the talk show host and her husband Bill's surrogate miscarried the couple's last embryo. Rancic and Bill had son, Duke, in 2012, via a surrogate.
Rancic revealed to People that, "It was painful. We were so optimistic with this last embryo. We thought, 'This is definitely going to work. This is our last shot.' "
After having given birth to Duke, Rancic and her husband's surrogate had three more remaining embryos. The first two were conceived successfully in the surrogate in 2014. However, the surrogate had a miscarriage weeks later.
Rancic detailed that the lost of their very last embryo was "the toughest blow" and added that, "It was a really hard time."
Rancic is currently taking anti-cancer medications after she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011. The star was subsequently diagnosed with double mastectomy on the same year. Thus, this will make conceiving a child herself too risky.
Despite the huge blow, her family remains optimistic and still hope that they could grow their family in other means. She disclosed that she was not closing doors on even possibly adopting.
"We're open to everything, I think adoption is a beautiful gift you're giving each other. And it's funny, I'm even more open to [adoption] than I was before. Because I think to myself, 'I love Duke so much, if I couldn't take care of him, I hope there would be someone else who would love him'."
In another related news, Giuliana was offended with the recent rumors going on that she has an eating disorder or a cancer relapse might have caused her to look very skinny, according to The Inquisitr. "Some people were saying, 'The cancer is probably back.' And they were accusing me of every eating disorder. I thought to myself, 'God, if someone really thought I had an eating disorder, what a horrible way to approach it'," Rancic was quoted as saying.
Giuliana tells all about what goes on in her life in a memoir called, "Going Off Script." Her book is available in stores on April 7.
Rancic has had the privilege of enjoying a great family life. Additionally, she has booming television and entrepreneurial endeavors to look forward to, as reported in The Daily Mail UK. The reality star sure learned the ropes in exploring business ventures, thanks to her entrepreneur husband, Bill Rancic. Guiliana is also a host in "The Fashion Police."
