'The Simpsons' Season 28: Characters Vote Hillary Clinton? Donald Trump Rude To Them?

With the "The Simpsons" Season 28 premiering this fall, the next season of the iconic animated show will coincide with an already contentious election season. Never to shy away from taking on social and cultural commentary, it is no surprise that the characters in "The Simpson" have now weighed in on the current Donald Trump - Hillary Clinton debate and it seems that the family is with her.

The first clip of "The Simpsons" Season 28 sees The Simpsons trying to decide on whom to vote for the upcoming presidential elections, Variety reported. Then, an announcer speaks: "It's 3 am and the phone's ringing in the White House. Whom do you want to answer that call?" We then see animated versions of the Clintons, with Bill giving the phone to Hillary. "Yes, from now on, it's always for me," Hillary said. We then see a Donald Trump reading "Great Speeches" by "A. Hitler" and tweeting "And Elizabeth Warren tweets too much. Glad I exiled her." A lot more things happen and the video ends with the Simpsons saying, "And that's how I became a Democrat."

With the rampant rumors that "The Simpsons" Season 28 will be the show's last, according to Carter Matt, could this be a last-ditch attempt to roast Donald Trump especially now that he is leading the polls? The effort can be deliberate as pop culture can very well influence elections the same way Tina Fey's impression of vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin did in 2008.

"The Simpsons" Season 28 will be expected to start airing on Sunday, September 25, at 8 pm ET on Fox. What do you think of this latest "The Simpsons" Season 28 news? Does Hillary Clinton deserve the Simpsons' "votes"? Did they make the right decisions? Let us know in the comments below.
