Gwen Stefani Struggling to Balance Work and Family

Singer Gwen Stefani is struggling to manage work and family simultaneously. The 43-year-old "Hollaback Girl" singer opened up about her family, motherhood and career with Vogue magazine recently.

"Getting to the studio and not being able to make it happen, but missing out on being at home, missing out on putting the kids down. What's more important? I felt so guilty," Us Weekly quoted the concerned mother as saying. "'I am letting everyone down in the studio right now; I'm letting down my kids; I'm letting down myself.' Because time was so precious."

Stefani met her husband, guitarist and lead singer Gavin Rossdale of rock band Bush, in 1995. The couple, who tied the knot in 2002, celebrated their 10th anniversary in September.

"It's pride. You feel proud. There are just so many rewards that come with it," Stefani told People, referring to her married life. "But, actually, it's fun to get to this point. Because you learn so much about somebody. It's like these wars that go on and then you kind of get through to the other side, and it's like, 'Wow.'"

The couple have two children, six-year-old Kingston James McGregor Rossdale and four-year-old Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale.

According to Stefani, the arrival of their children helped strengthen her relationship with Rossdale.

"Having kids takes the whole relationship to another place. It is the ultimate collaboration," Stefani told People. "Both of us have such strong opinions about how it should be, and it's really fun to do it together."

Apart from singing, Stefani has tried her hands at fashion designing and acting. She launched her clothing line L.A.M.B. in 2003. She made an entry into the film world with the movie "The Aviator" in 2004.
