"Girl Meets World" Season 3 came to an end on Disney Channel with the finale episode titled "Girl Meets Ski Lodge Part 2." While the series finally provided a conclusion to the love triangle between Riley (Rowan Blanchard), Maya (Sabrina Carpenter) and Lucas (Peyton Meyer), many fans are wondering when the next season will air on TV.
TVLine notes that Disney Channel recently addressed rumors that "Girl Meets World" Season 3 will be its last. According to the network, there is no news yet with regards to the future of the show.
"We are wrapping production next week on the third season," said a network representative. "With episodes airing on Disney Channel into 2017, there's no news to share yet about a fourth season."
"GMW" Season 3 is definitely not the last that fans and viewers will see of Riley, Maya, Lucas and the gang. The question that sits in the minds of the viewers, however, is: "Will Disney Channel cancel the series and will the show move to another network?"
There have been speculations that "Girl Meets World" Season 3 will move to Freeform in order to tackle more serious issues into the show. As Seventeen notes in the Season 3 finale, Lucas finally chose Riley and the two of them decided to enter a relationship.
Maya, on the other hand, realized in the "Girl Meets World" Season 3 finale that she was only crushing on Lucas in order to protect her best friend, Riley. Maya realized this with the help of Uncle Josh.
