GOP Presidential Nominee Trump Losing In Feud Against Parents Of Slain Muslim-American Soldier

Donald Trump is picking on one fight after another. This time the Republican presidential nominee is drawing public ire from a recent confrontation against the parents of a Muslim American soldier who got killed on duty in Iraq.

The verbal exchange started when Khizr Khan and his wife spoke in the Democratic National Convention (DNC) held last week when the father of slain army captain, Humayun Khan, criticized Donald Trump's anti-Muslim policies. Trump then responded that Khan has no right to accuse him of not knowing the constitution and suggested that Ghazala Khan, the wife appeared to be silent during the DNC because of her religion (via The New York Times).

As per CNN, Trump took the dispute to Twitter, saying "Mr. Khan, who does not know me, viciously attacked me from the stage of the DNC and is now all over T.V. doing the same - Nice!" In another tweet, he says "This story is not about Mr. Khan, who is all over the place doing interviews, but rather RADICAL ISLAMIC terrorism and the U.S. Get smart!"

But instead of turning the the tables in favor for him, Trump has suffered a decrease in poll results, according to The Telegraph. Trump is now behind the Democrat presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton by nine points.

As per Independent, the Khans are private people who do not belong to any politcal party. They simply graced the DNC to pay tribute to their fallen son who was killed in 2004 by a suicide bomb.

Last Saturday, Trump released a written statement that acknowledged Khan's son as a hero who deserves to be honored. The real problem, according to the GOP presidential nominee, are the radical Islamic terrorists who killed Khan's son and their efforts to enter the U.S. and cause harm, as reported by Independent.

Khan dismissed Trump's words and labeled it as "faked empathy." He says, "That proves that this person is void of empathy. He is unfit for the stewardship of this great country. You think he will empathize with this country, with the suffering of this country’s poor people? He showed his true colors when he disrespected this country’s most honorable mother… all the snake oil he is selling, and my patriotic, decent Americans are falling for that."

Obama and some Republicans including John McCain and House Speaker Paul Ryan are not siding with Trump. His divisive politics has also urged his own party to be torn if they are for or against the kind of leadership that Trump offers (via CNN).

Regardless if you're a Republican or Democrat, which side are you on? Do you agree that Trump was "viciously attacked" by the parents of the slain Muslim-American soldier; or do you think that Khan is right and Trump is divisive and lacks empathy needed to be a good leader?
