NBC Boss Says GOP Nominee Donald Trump not Welcome to Come Back in 'The Celebrity Apprentice'

GOP nominee Donald Trump will reportedly no longer be allowed to go back to the show "The Celebrity Apprentice" in case he loses against Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. This was reportedly announced by the boss of NBC.

If Trump is considering having to go back to his old hosting gig after the November elections in case he will lose, NBC's entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt was asked about the possibility of the real estate mogul being back on the show. This was during the execution session of NBC on the Television Critics Association tour in Beverly Hill on Tuesday. Greenblatt's exact words were, "No. He would never come back on 'Celebrity Apprentice' as long as I'm here," E! News reported.

The comments of Greenblatt came after Trump has been under fire for his comments regarding the sacrifices he reportedly did compare to the fallen soldier who died in Iraq. Trump said that one of his sacrifices was giving up two seasons of appearing on "Celebrity Apprentice" in order to run for the White House top position as well of giving jobs to thousands of people.

Aside from Trump not being allowed to go back to "Celebrity Apprentice," Greenblatt was asked how the show boosted the celebrity profile of the real estate mogul, which was seen as one of the top reasons why he became the GOP nominee.

Greenblatt shared that it is interesting and it is something they talk about. He added, "I think he's been a prominent figure for so many years that it's probably not surprising that he would embark on this kind of journey, but it is interesting that he was on the show for so long and now he's sort of on the national stage the way he is." Greenblatt, however, cleared that they are not sure if Trump will still be part of any entertainment shows on NBC in the future.

NBC Entertainment President Jennifer Salke had a different response as opposed to Greenblatt. She said that they have no idea yet and they are taking "one sort of day at a time." She added that they are also seeing where he ends up and is watching everything unfold just like everyone does.

Trump hosted 14 seasons of "The Apprentice" and "The Celebrity Apperentice." Former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has been tapped to be the host of the 15th season of the show.

Trump has not yet commented on this matter.
