The news of the upcoming movie is something that many are excited about. However, it has left a lot of the wondering if the film was the reason for the "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 to be delayed. Some fans are even speculating that the series might even be discontinued.
There are reports that the "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 will be delayed untill the first quarter of 2017. This is because there is a lack of story content as of now.
There is a lot of ambiguity with respect to the storyline. However, it is highly speculated that the center story will focus on Touka Kirishima's background story. There are also reports that the "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 will reveal a new protagonist. Will this be the persona of Haise Sasaki? We do not know as of now.
"This is perhaps the most disillusioning, psychological and darkest plot line that we will attempt to adapt," Anime writer Bob told. "Although we cannot guarantee that more gory scenes such as Touka's standardized exam test-taking will not be censored."
The release date of "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 is not known as of now.
