Putting an end to the suspense, actress and singer Beverley Mitchell revealed the gender of her unborn baby, it's a girl.
The 32-year-old mom-to-be revealed the news through a blog written for People magazine.
Mitchell, who's best known for her role as Lucy Camden-Kinkirk in the television series "7th Heaven", got engaged to her longtime boyfriend Cameron in 2005. The couple tied the knot in 2008. After four years of married life, the couple announced expecting their first child in November.
"So you may or may not be wondering what this little bundle of joy is ... BOY or GIRL? Hmm ... should I tell you?" she wrote. "Well if you twist my arm, we are thrilled to be welcoming a beautiful baby girl into our family! And yes, she has already stolen my husband's heart. He proudly shares the picture of our 4D ultrasound."
Mitchell, who has also appeared in movies like "The Crow: City of Angels" and "Saw II", was totally unaware about the changes that pregnancy brings in, until she experienced it.
"It's funny; I've played a mom on TV so I thought, 'I totally got this.' I am great with kids and have always known that I wanted to be a mom," Mitchell said. "There has never been any question that it would happen. The only thing I never accounted for was pregnancy. To be honest, I felt completely unprepared for and ignorant to all things PREGNANT."
The first-time mother is also reportedly excited to experience the different phases involved with pregnancy, like body transformation and baby movements.
"The true transformation of the body - changes I could never have imagined - I can't help but find it completely magical. It is absolutely fascinating, and now even more so as I begin to feel movement and kicks," the expecting mom wrote.
The baby is due in April 2013.
