'Avengers: Infinity War' News & Update: Two-Part Film Renamed; Writers Still Working On The Third Draft

There is no doubt that the Avengers are one of the most popular superheroes in the big screens. After the success of "Captain America: Civil War," Marvel fans are excited to watch the Avengers reunion in "Avengers: Infinity War." According to reports, the upcoming two-part film is renamed and the writers are still on its third draft.

According to Castanet, the next "Avengers" movies, which are initially named "Avengers Infinity Part 1" and "Avengers Infinity Part 2" have been renamed. Per the report, the third and fourth installment of the Avengers are still in the works.

The third "Avengers" film will still be called "Avengers: Infinity War" but the next installment is classed as untitled. The Russo brothers already teased that the next two films are very different.

"The two movies are two very different movies. To call them Parts 1 and 2 (would be) misleading," said Joe Russo. At the time, Marvel is keeping the plot for "Avengers: Infinity War" under wraps but many believe that it will follow the alien supervillain, Thanos.

Meanwhile, the writers behind "Avengers: Infinity War" admitted that they are still working on the script. In fact, per Collider the scribes are working on their third draft for the anticipated Marvel epic.

"We're many drafts in. We're on the third draft of movie one and the second draft of movie two. [We're writing them in tandem] as much as we can," the writers told Yahoo!. "And certainly, notes are coming in and all sorts of production stuff is coming in, like for instance, 'that thing over there is now a window not a door so adjust that.' Or, 'we're not going to this town now, we're going to this town.' That kind of stuff happens constantly and will continue to happen for the next few months."

The "Avengers: Infinity War" scribes also teased that major characters may die in the upcoming films. In fact, while going through the story line for the two films, they are looking at the roster of superheroes who are still alive in the Marvel universe.

Who do you think will make it alive after "Avengers: Infinity War?" Will we still see our favorite superheroes like Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor and the rest of the gang in the next "Avengers" film? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.

"Avengers: Infinity War" will hit the big screens in April 2018. Meanwhile, the second film will follow after a year.
