Actress-singer Mandy Moore talked about what her life is now like as she stars in a new television show, months after her divorce with singer Ryan Adams, which was finalized in June of this year. Moore and Adams had been married for six years before splitting up.
"Fantastic! It's tough. Life is not easy. I think it's been great to be able to take all of the chapters in my life and be able to pour it into a job like this because it all helps. It's all fuel," said Moore, as per People.com. Moore stars in the NBC family drama, This is Us.
Moore was quoted by ET Online after a panel interview for the show as saying that this would be her first time to play the part of a wife and a mother. "It's certainly good practice because I want to be a mom one day. Working with babies and kids and everything in between," said Moore.
The 32-year-old Moore said that she believes that everything happens for a reason and added that she think it is not a coincidence that the show came her way after ending her relationship with her husband ended in divorce. "I'm able to focus back on myself again," she was quoted as saying.
New York Daily News reported that the recently-divorced Moore does have plans for returning to the music industry, where she first gained recognition. "I also feel like a lot has happened in the last two years of my life that I want to be able to put into music and it'll be cathartic," said Moore, who sang the songs Crush, Cry, and more recently, I See The Light for Tangled's original soundtrack.
Moore, who the report said she had read This is Us' script back in October this year is one of its leads along with Milo Ventimiglia, Sterling K. Brown and Justin Hart. It will start airing on September 20.
