Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's little girl has allegedly recently received baptismal blessings! At 22 months old, Little North West was reportedly baptized in Jerusalem, as revealed in a People magazine article. Kim's rep exclusively confirmed to People the important news.
The insider exclusively told People that, "They [Kim, Kanye and North] flew [into Jerusalem] especially for [the baptism]. They knew it was close to Armenia and it was always a dream to come to Jerusalem. There's an Armenian quarter, and they did it at this old beautiful church. It was epic. So beautiful."
The Jerusalem Post actually revealed that Kim and Kanye's daughter got the sacred blessing from up above at the Cathedral of St. James. The church is situated in the Armenian Quarter's Old City of Jerusalem. This side of Jerusalem's existence dated back to the 4th century A.D.
Aunt Khloe Kardashian was named as North's godmother during the baptismal ceremony. The priest who officiated the ceremony was named as North's godfather, E! Online revealed.
TMZ reported that a swarm of fans surrounded Kim, Kanye, and North at St. James Cathedral.
The West family and Kim's sister, Khloe, arrived in Jerusalem on Monday. The famous clan reportedly got off a private jet plane at the international airport in Israel, as indicated in The Hollywood Life. The foursome immediately got into an SUV, the same article reported. The group proceeded to the Holy Land after a five-day vacation in Armenia. Kanye, North, and the rest of the Kardashian clan relished in Kim and Khloe's Armenian roots while on vacation. The ladies' father, the late Robert Kardashian, was the son of Armenian-American parents.
E! Online reported that Kim even expressed her pride for her Armenian ethnicity. The 34-year-old notably said in a Cosmopolitan Armenia cover that, "My Armenian heritage means a lot to me. I've been brought up to be incredibly proud of my family's background and culture."
Armenia's prime minister, Hovik Abrahamyan, met Kim and Kanye in his country last week, according to ABC News.
US Magazine cited that Kanye held a free concert near the famed Swan Lake in the family's last vacation day in Armenia. During the evening concert, the rapper even allegedly jumped into the lake to have fans get close to him.
